Enrollment

Rapoport Academy Public School is a FREE open enrollment lottery-draw school serving the following Central Texas school districts: Bosqueville, China Spring, Connally, Crawford, Gholson, LaVega, Lorena, McGregor, Midway, Riesel, Robinson, Waco, and West. This means that any student who resides in these school districts is eligible to attend Rapoport Academy. State law requires that students who enroll in free public pre-kindergarten meet certain criteria (e.g., economic disadvantage, English language learner, parent on active military service).

The enrollment process is outlined below:

1) Parent/Guardian picks up an enrollment application from any campus*

*Elementary campus (2000 J.J. Flewellen) or Quinn Campus (1020 Elm Ave.; middle school and high school) Click the 'Contact' tab above for directions to our campuses.

2) Parent/Guardian must call Bobbie Perkins at (254) 799-4191 to schedule an enrollment meeting

3) Parent/Guardian brings completed application to the enrollment meeting

4) Schedule appointment at enrollment meeting for standardized testing to determine grade placement (this test does NOT detemine admission to the school, only the grade for which your student will enter the lottery draw)

5) Lottery draw and notification of admission

 

Grade Placement Testing for Fall 2010:

Elementary School
campus for 2nd-4th graders, (this test does NOT determine admission to the school, only the grade for which your student will enter the lottery draw). Must complete Steps 1-4 of enrollment process before test date.
Dates: August 4th, August 11th

Quinn Middle School campus for 5th-8th graders, (this test does NOT determine admission to the school, only the grade for which your student will enter the lottery draw). Must complete Steps 1-4 of enrollment process before test date.
Dates: August 4th, August 11th


Meyer High School campus
for 9th-12th graders, (this test does NOT determine admission to the school, only the grade for which your student will enter the lottery draw). Must complete Steps 1-4 of enrollment process before test date.
Dates: August 4th, August 11th


There is no application deadline for new students. Lottery draws occur on a rolling basis beginning in the late spring and continuing through the summer or until all enrollment spots are filled.
