RAPS Recharged

 

Join us for RAPS Recharged, our must-attend orientation event created just for you! As we gear up for the upcoming school year, we want to make sure you have all the essential information to support your child's success.

RAPS Recharged is a REQUIRED orientation designed for parents of Kindergarten through 12th graders. We want to equip you with the knowledge and resources you need to start the school year strong. 

When & Where

To make orientation available for all families, we are offering multiple days and times. We ask that just one parent or guardian from each family attend one of the four planned sessions. 

Thursday, June 29

  • 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 5:30 pm - 7 p.m.

Monday, July 24

  • 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 5:30 pm - 7 p.m.

Location: City of Waco Multi-Purpose Center located on our Elm campus at 1020 Elm Ave.

Schedule:

Check-In & General Session at Waco Multi-Purpose Center (40 min.)

Visit tables in the exhibit hall to pick up paperwork, order uniform polos, and more!

 

Break-Out Session Topics:

(Choose two 20-minute sessions to attend in person. Watch them all online!)

  • RAPS Recharged Orientation is for K-12th grade parents and guardians. We need at least one parent or guardian from each household to attend ONE session this summer. This is a required orientation and it is essential that you attend.

    We will have a separate Pre-K orientation event that will be communicated to those parents. 

  • What if I need to change dates or times?

    You can sign up on the form again! If you miss all the in-person orientations, you will need to make up the orientation virtually. In-person is much better though!

     

    Can I bring my kids?

    Yes, but we have limited seating. If at all possible we’d prefer just parents or guardians to attend. 

     

    Where is orientation?

    At the City of Waco Multi-purpose Center located at 1020 Elm St. behind our high school building.

    How long is orientation?

    It is an hour and a half long. 

     

     

    1. Essential Information: Learn about important updates, policies, and procedures that will impact your child's education. We'll cover school rules, academic expectations, and upcoming events, ensuring a smooth transition for everyone. And attendance is REQUIRED for all Rapoport families. 

    2. Connect with Educators: Meet our dedicated staff and foster strong connections for better communication throughout the year. Share your child's unique needs and goals to create a personalized approach to their education.

    3. Engage with Other Parents: Network with fellow parents who share similar experiences, challenges, and aspirations. Build a supportive community within our school and gain valuable insights.

    4. Resources and Support: Access a wealth of resources, tools, and materials to help support your child's learning journey. From effective study techniques to nurturing their social-emotional well-being, we're here to provide the support you need.

    5. Stay Informed: Get the latest updates on initiatives, curriculum changes, and extracurricular opportunities at our school. Discover how you can actively participate in shaping your child's learning experience.
