Updated COVID-19 Procedures

There has been some confusion these last few days about the COVID requirements. Here are some clarifications.

1. If someone in the household has tested positive for COVID, you can not send your child to school for 10 days from the date of the test or the date of symptoms, whichever is first. Also, you must let the campus know as soon as possible.

2. If your child has symptoms and is awaiting test results, you can not send your child to school until the test results are received AND the results are negative. Also, you must let the campus know as soon as possible.

3. If your child has tested positive in the last 5 days (day of test or day of symptoms is day 0 when counting), he/she may not return to campus until after day 5 is complete AND must wear a mask ALL THE TIME for an additional 5 days minimum. If they are still running a fever and/or symptoms are not significantly improved, they can not return to campus. If you do not want them to wear a mask, they need to remain out for a full 10 days. Also, you must let the campus know as soon as possible.

4. We must be notified as soon as possible (like immediately) if your child tests positive. We are required to complete contact tracing and notifications for students/staff/local health department, and the State for any on-campus positives, and with the new variant, time is truly of the essence in keeping spread to a minimum.

Thank you for partnering with us to slow the spread of the virus.

Help us keep open this Spring by:

  • washing your hands,
  • wearing a mask,
  • getting vaccinations/boosters,
  • staying home when you are sick, and
  • testing when you are not.
