The TSI Assessment (TSIA) 2 is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help determine if you are ready for college-level coursework in the general areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. At Rapoport, we focus on getting all of our students college-ready. Students will take the ELAR (reading & writing) test as early as 8th grade and the math test after completing Algebra I.
30 multiple-choice questions that include both reading & writing focused questions.
Diagnostic section (if you do not get enough points on the first section, this 48-question section is used to determine areas of strength/weaknesses Rapoport does not require this).
A 300-600 word persuasive essay.
Average test time 2-3 hours (We recommend students split the test into two days.)
20 multiple-choice questions over Algebra, Geometry, Probability, Statistics & Quantitative Reasoning.
Diagnostic section (30-40 questions to measure areas of growth, which Rapoport does not require)
Average test time 1-1.5 hours
Find information about review sessions in the weekly announcements or contact Ms. Meriwether.
